The Periodic Trends

There are four trends found in the periodic table: electronegativity, atomic radii, electron affinity and ionization energy.

  • Electronegativity - EN
Electronegativity is the measure of an atoms ability to attract electrons.
  • Ionization Energy
Ionization energy is the minimum amount of energy required to remove an electron from an atom.
  • Atomic Radius
Atomic radius is one half the distance between the nuclei of two atoms of the same element.
