The Limits of Science
There are definite limits to what science can
do and good science must meet the following three
conditions.
Science must
be:
- observable
- measurable
- repeatable
Historically it has been known
that science cannot do everything.
Science
cannot:
- deal with moral decisions or value
judgements
- prove truths or
absolutes
- prove universal statements (all,
always, never etc)
Always remember what science is and what
science is not. Good science will use the scientific method and
follow the guidelines above.
"Good science is observable,
measurable and repeatable."
